Kylan brings more than 15 years of attorney experience to the firm. He is a Denver native who obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006, his Masters in Natural Resources Law from the University of Denver in 2007, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010.
With two lawyers for parents, Kylan became very familiar with the legal world at an early age. He had to develop the ability to successfully argue a point early in life and translated those skills into a successful career in civil litigation. Over years of experience in complex litigation involving personal injury, premises liability, dram shop, and governmental immunity claims, he has obtained numerous eight figure settlements and seven figure verdicts for clients.
Prior to focusing solely on civil litigation, Kylan represented clients in claims for benefits under the Social Security Disability Act, arguing hundreds of cases in front of federal administrative law judges and fighting for clients through appeals in federal district courts.
Pursuing justice for people who couldn’t easily access it has always been important to Kylan and he previously worked with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center in a guardian ad litem position, helping to represent the legal interests and welfare of children involved in the legal system as a result of neglect or abuse. He served as treasurer for the student chapter at the ACLU at the University of Denver Sturm, organizing events and promoting legislation devoted to protecting people’s rights.
When not arguing before a jury, Kylan enjoys spending time arguing and playing with his two young children, travelling, going to concerts, and snowboarding.
